My treatment approach can best be described as an integrated approach that is client-centered and trauma-informed. I come from a cognitive behavioral background and often start my work with clients using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) tools which includes a lot of mindfulness. Additionally, I am trained in Brainspotting which is a neuro-experiential modality that incorporates elements of EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) and Somatic Experiencing. Brainspotting can be used in many ways and it’s known to be helpful with trauma and performance enhancement. Additionally, I am certified in Psychedelic Assisted Therapy from the Integrated Psychiatry Institute (IPI) in Niwot, Colorado. I have done additional training in MDMA assisted therapy through the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS). This fall I plan to further my expertise in mindfulness by getting certified in Breathwork Facilitation. These modalities all support one another and can be part of a comprehensive approach to growth and change.
